Buying Property in Gulf

The Persian Gulf which is  called the Arabian Gulf by the Arabs, is mostly shallow and has many islands, and the largest is Bahrain. The gulf is bordered by Oman and the United Arab Emirates to the south, to the west by Qatar and Saudi Arabia, to the north by Kuwait and Iraq, and along the entire east coast by Iran. THE PERSIAN GULF can provide real estate opportunities for both investment property and holiday homes, being located on the Persian Gulf. The U.A.E. contributes to the continued security and stability of the Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz. It is a leading partner in the campaign against global terrorism, providing assistance in the military, diplomatic, and financial arenas since September 11, 2001

The United Arab Emirates forms the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula and extends along part of the Gulf of Oman and the southern coast of the Persian Gulf. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia with whom there is no fixed frontier, Qatar to the north with Oman to the east making up the last of the so-called Gulf States. Most of the land is barren and sandy with prime locations for property investment on the Gulf coast.

THE jewel in the PERSIAN GULF is perhaps Dubai which is ruled by the Maktoum: Crown Prince Sheikh Muhammad ibn Rashid al-Maktoum is the prime minister of the UAE and the emir of Dubai. Under Sheikh Muhammad’s stewardship Dubai has become for the middle east what Hong Kong is to the far east, most notably in the real estate market which is always the most accessible economic sector. This was quickly grasped by the Gulf Arabs who have ensured that a complete real estate market is available providing the full range of property for sale, off-plan property, investment property, holiday homes and property for rent. The UAE has provided substantial and generous aid to neighbouring Arab states in keeping with its membership with organizations such as the UN, IMF, Arab League, and OPEC.

THE PERSIAN GULF promotes its geographical location as a "bridge" between three continents, along with its good airline connections, and telecommunications.  THE GULF has developed it’s position as the financial centre of the middle east and Asia and has developed a liberal climate for investments. Since the region lacks substantial reserves of oil and other natural resources the rulers have had to pursue other options such as tourism and finance. As a result of their successful strategies THE GULF has prospered, much of it related to the thriving real estate market in investment property, holiday homes and off-plan property.

As stated previously, The U.A.E. is a member of the United Nations and the Arab League and has established diplomatic relations with more than 60 countries, including the U.S., Japan, Russia, the People's Republic of China, and most western European countries. It has played a moderate role in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, the United Nations, and the GCC.

The U.A.E. believes wants to see the Arab League become a more effective institution and would like to improve force and cooperation of the GCC defence forces.

The capital is Abu Dabi and in the Gulf temperatures are high, though winters may be quite cool at the north-western extremities. The sparse rainfall occurs mainly as sharp downpours between November and April and is higher in the northeast. Humidity is high. The little cloud cover is more prevalent in winter than in summer. Thunderstorms and fog are rare, but dust storms and haze occur frequently in summer. The shamal, a wind that blows predominantly from a north-northwest direction during the summer, is seldom strong and rarely reaches gale force.
